These are the books that showed me the way. Each of these women come with degrees in their respective areas and high levels of experience. They are also generally amazing.

I’ve read this book cover to cover several times, and it has maintained a space in the corner of my mind for years. Therefore, you know it has to be a classic body respect book. It is truly one of the most helpful guides to creating a healthy relationship with food you can find. Period. Body Kindness by Rebecca Scritchfield RDN

I’m not sure what Rebecca doesn’t do. She writes, she blogs, she podcasts, and she advocates for women and men of all sizes and shapes. She’s a beautiful human inside and out who has learned the harms of diet culture and wants to help you. I found her first through her podcast of the same name which tackles so many amazing topics surrounding body kindness. Her book gives you a great blueprint to help you spiral up to your best self. Health at Every Size: The Surprising Truth About Your Weight by Linda Bacon PhD

This body respect book isn’t for the faint of heart! Be prepared to be shocked. Then be prepared to get a little (or a lot) angry. This book helped me learn that we need to stop fighting a war against obesity and start fighting the war against diet culture and dieting.
